3.0 Personal Information gathered from Users
We do not collect more information than we need to fulfil our purposes and will not retain it for longer than is necessary. We collect information from you when you book a class/service, subscribe to a newsletter, fill out a class joining form or health questionnaire, purchase/use/redeem a gift card, make an enquiry, complete a survey from us or give us feedback, contact us in person, or via our Website, or via email or via telephone, or via our social media or via any other means, or enter information on our Website. The personal data we hold include personal and contact details such as your first name, last name, date of birth, gender, billing address, email address, mobile number, health details, messages and responses to the surveys.
We collect special category health data optionally as it may be in the vital interest of a data subject should there be a risk to health and where these details may prevent further injury or risk. When you fill a Health and/or Registration Form (Class Joining Form), your information has been collected for class management and to enable us to work with you in the safest and most appropriate way, and so that we can contact you about anything relating to our work together if we need to. Your information is confidential but may be shared with an assistant teacher working with you. Your information is stored in order to comply with professional insurance requirements and the requirements of professional registering bodies and it’ll be destroyed approximately seven years after the end of our work together. When you purchase or book a Service or purchase/use/redeem a gift card your personal data (as described above, both purchaser’s and recipient’s) is stored for at least seven years to comply with professional insurance requirements. Emails sent from clients and non-clients are saved in our filing system if they contain important messages, otherwise, emails are retained for up to two years. Attendance registers, notes on classes and sessions (data collected in class) used for class management and held for at least seven years for insurance purposes.
Payment data – we collect responses from trusted Payment Service Providers when you make purchases on the website. We hold this information for at least seven years for accounting and tax obligations. We DO NOT collect any card information.
Website cookies are set automatically by our software. We do not knowingly access these or pass them to third parties.
When you book/buy/use a Service, we use the contact information to send you confirmations, reminders and schedule changes, notifying you of changes to classes that you’ve already booked such as cancellations, teacher substitutes, style changes or waitlist changes.
When you subscribe to our newsletters or when you asked to be added to our mailing list by any means (such as via telephone, or via our social media, or in person etc.), we use the contact information to send you enhancements to our Services such as changes to pricing and schedules or to deliver information about Yoga Inner Peace and our promotions such as upcoming classes/ workshops/retreat trips, new services, new products/features, offers. We may also ask you to complete/fill surveys that we use for research purposes and/or to improve our Services, although you do not have to respond to them. We may also contact you to discuss feedback or complaints. We also use the information collected to ensure that content from our Website is presented in the most effective manner for you and your computer, provide you with information, products or services that you request from us or which we feel may interest you. We may also track your use of the Website to determine which classes you participate in so that we can make recommendations to you regarding upcoming classes and services.
We reserve the right to communicate with you from time to time about important matters, which will affect your use of the Website, including any alleged violations of the Terms & Conditions. We also use the information for trend analysis, pattern detection, and monitoring and assessing Yoga Inner Peace. Users may opt-out of receiving future mailings from us by unsubscribing from email lists. There is a clear automatic unsubscribe option at the bottom of each email.
Information held by Yoga Inner Peace is accessed by staff working for Yoga Inner Peace, and contractors working on Yoga Inner Peace’s IT and may be shared, on a need to basis, with other teachers at Yoga Inner Peace, e.g. if you are attending their class, or they are covering a class.
Should you ever wish to access the personal data we hold for you, please put the request in writing to info@yogainnerpeace.com and title your request “Subject Access Request.” Subject to applicable law including relevant data protection laws, you may have some rights in connection with the processing of your personal data, including the right to request access to your personal data that we process or control, to request rectification of any inaccuracies in your personal data, to request, on legitimate grounds as to erasure of your personal data that we process or control or restriction of processing of your personal data that we process or control. Please note if you used any of our Services, personal data can only be destroyed approximately seven years after the end of our work together to comply with professional insurance requirements. Please note that we cannot provide information for any other individuals other than yourself.
Live Streaming Classes: – We use Zoom for all our online and live-streamed classes, workshops and courses, the unique link will only be shared with you and fellow students. As noted in our Terms and Conditions other people viewing the live stream can see that you are using our service via live stream and may see your name or other personal information which is shown via the live streaming platform you use. Yoga Inner Peace will not be held liable if other students/participants will record the Service on their device, screenshot, share, post or otherwise do matters with the video that we cannot prevent. Yoga Inner Peace may also record the classes and share them with other customers. You give us your consent to live stream by signing the Terms & Conditions and the current Privacy Policy.
